
A senior opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to join a well-established, full-service resort located in Vanuatu/Fiji /Samoa. ( All part of a worldwide group ) The property features a significant room inventory, multiple F&B outlets, vibrant leisure facilities, and broad international appeal across core leisure and corporate segments.
This role requires a commercially driven leader with deep experience in resort markets, brand positioning, and revenue growth across diverse international and regional source markets.
Reporting to the General Manager (and working closely with Regional/Group Commercial Leaders), your responsibilities will include:
Sales Leadership
Lead the resort’s Sales function across all key markets, including Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and targeted long-haul regions.
Develop and manage annual sales plans, trade partnerships, and key account relationships.
Drive leisure, MICE, corporate, wholesale, inbound, and group business segments.
Marketing & Brand Strategy
Oversee all marketing, branding, digital presence, and campaign management for the resort.
Ensure consistent brand messaging, content quality, and alignment with market positioning.
Lead creative development for seasonal campaigns, promotions, and digital assets.
Revenue & Commercial Performance
Work with the Revenue Manager to drive pricing strategy, forecasting, and yield optimisation.
Analyse business trends and performance to identify new revenue opportunities.
Oversee distribution channels, OTA optimisation, and market mix planning.
Public Relations & Communications
Manage media relations, editorial opportunities, and influencer partnerships.
Oversee community engagement, sponsorships, and destination marketing collaborations.
Team Leadership
Oversee a multi-functional team across Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and Revenue.
Recruit, coach, and develop high-performing talent.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and commercial excellence.

Proven experience as Director of Sales & Marketing or Senior Sales Leader within hotels/resorts.
Strong regional knowledge across ANZ and South Pacific markets.
Demonstrated ability to deliver revenue growth, market share gains, and brand visibility.
Expertise in digital marketing, trade relationships, and commercial strategy.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a vibrant island environment with multicultural teams.
